DOE Zoom Log-In
Logging in to a NYCDOE Zoom
In order to ensure the safety and security of our Zoom meetings, we will begin making our Zoom meetings accessible only to authenticated users. This means that every student will need to log in using their nycstudents.net email account. The steps to access your nycstudents.net account and create a password are listed below.
Your DOE Email
Your first step is to log into the email the Department of Education (DOE) has made for you. This account should look like “name@nycstudents.net.” To get your username, click on “Create your Password” which will take you to the DOE’s website. There you will need to enter your OSIS number (your 9-digit student ID) and your date of birth. If you do not know your OSIS number, ask your Zoom coach and they will let you know what it is. Then , you will be shown your username (write this down!) and on the next page you will be asked to create a password. Make sure that your password is something you can remember and don’t tell other students your password.
Your password must be AT LEAST 8 characters long (so “mypass” would be too short, but “mypassword” would work). Your password also CANNOT include your name or username (so if your name was John Wells, your password could not be “Johnpass” or “Wellspass” or “JohnW183” because your name or username is included.
Logging Into Zoom
Once you have your username and password, you are ready to log into Zoom with your DOE account! The basic steps are:
Go to the Zoom App (on whatever device you use for Zoom)
Sign out of any account you are currently logged in with
Click “Sign In with SSO”
In the box, type in “nycdoe” and click “Continue”
This will redirect you to a webpage which will ask you to log in with your DOE credentials and then to launch in the Zoom app, click “Allow”
You are now logged in and any meetings you start or schedule from the app will be through your DOE account.
