Save the Date for our annual Champions Dinner hosted by our El Puente Community Schools team on Wednesday, May 6th from 6-8PM at MS 50! We will break bread together, reflect on the achievements of the past year, and begin planning for the next school year! You are also invited to a Community Resource Fair before the dinner to connect with local non-profits and other resources from 4:30-5:45PM.

The MS 50 Boys Basketball team is District Champs!! It was an incredible game to cap off a hard fought, undefeated season! We are so proud of the growth as players and young men this whole season. A huge shoutout to the fans that showed up to cheer on this team all season long and our incredible cheerleading squad who brought unmatched energy to each and every game. Let’s go Warriors!
We are still in awe of the Black History Month showcase put on by our students last month! Featuring dance, cheer, spoken word, singing, a celebration of Black hair styles, and Black History Jeopardy, this ceremony loudly affirmed that Black history and culture is a year round activity. Special shoutout to our MCs Mr. Barnes, Mr. Frank, and our student LIT leadership team for keeping the energy high all afternoon!
CONGRATULATIONS to our fantastic debate team on capturing the top team in the city award at today’s @nycdebateleague NYC Reads Tournament! We are so proud of how each and every debater gave their all today and in the months leading up to the tournament as they prepared to use their voices to be leaders for peace and justice in the world. Go Warriors!
Last up in the basketball round up is our fierce boys varsity team! This team has left everything on the court all season long and is undefeated with two games left in the regular season! Make sure to be ready to cheer at our last home game of the season on Friday, March 6!
Up next in our basketball roundup is our Boys JV team! This team showed serious heart and hustle all season long, giving their all in each and every game. We can’t wait to see them continue to grow on and off the court!
We may have the week off from school, but that won’t stop us from celebration our incredible basketball teams! Up first, our girls varsity team! They have fought hard all season, playing with passion and teamwork. Stop by their last home game of the regular season next week Friday (2/27) to catch these warriors in action!
