Curriculum Night

Hello MS 50 Families,

We are so excited to welcome you to Curriculum Night at MS 50 on Thursday, September 22 from 5:00-8:00PM.  We believe deeply that partnering with families is crucial to seeing all of our students soar!   Curriculum Night across the DOE will be virtual again this year.   We have developed a plan to give you an insight into curriculum at MS 50 and also gives you the opportunity to individually meet your child’s homeroom teacher/advisor.  Our plan is as follows:

5:00 pm - 5:30 pm - Whole school zoom - www.ms50.org/curriculum.  At this meeting we will discuss our upcoming Expanded Learning Time Clubs launch (yay!), grade level curriculum, and the high school application process (specifically for 8th grade families).  We will also have some time, as always, for a virtual family dance party!  We will keep the whole school zoom open until 8:00 pm if you would like more info on the topics above.  

5:30 pm - 8:00 pm - Each family will have the opportunity to sign up for a 10-minute individual meeting with one of your child’s homeroom teachers/advisors.  At this meeting you will be able discuss your child’s learning style and needs and begin making relationships with your child’s teachers.  To sign up for an individual meeting, please fill out the Operoo form that will be emailed/texted to you and will be available on the Operoo app and website.  If you need support accessing Operoo, please go to www.ms50.org/operoo.
